Description

The set of three Jubilee samplers with a discount.

The 50th and 60th and 70th Jubilees to create a complete set.
The colours used have evolved over the decades, the diamond sampler is more vibrant, and the golden sampler has more golden tones.

The samplers is all based on the beautiful St Edward crown which was used for the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
The crown is drawn in softer colours than the previous Jubilee samplers to reflect the Platinum theme.
Thread colours are subtly blended to create delicate metallic shades.
Sparkling metallic thread is used to add vibrancy.

It will be easy to obtain a frame for each sampler because they fit a standard 8″ x 10″ frame.

This Platinum sampler contains special threads that are not available commercially, and so it is not available as a chart.

The pack has full instructions with cross stitch basics and tips for improvers.

The clear colour chart is beautifully easy to read because it has both symbols and coloured squares
Colours come threaded on a card so you do not need to spend time sorting them ~ so you can stitch away with no delay!
For a personal touch a completion slip adds your name and date to the back of your work

about the St Edward’s crown
This crown is named after Saint Edward the Confessor. It has been used for Coronations since the 13th century.
The current version was made for Charles II in 1661. The crown is made of solid 22 carat gold, it is 12″ high and weighs 2.23 kg (4.9 lb).
The image of this crown is used to mark the royal authority of the Queen, on coats of arms, logos and other insignia .
The St Edward’s Crown forms the centrepiece of the Crown Jewels display in the Tower of London.
